Cunningham have been manufacturing covers for over 50 years and specialise in providing clever protective solutions for a variety of industries. These industries include; agriculture, aquaculture, oil & gas, transport and aviation to name a few.

The Role – Fitter/Yard Operative
Key Responsibilities
- Repairing of tarpaulins to the highest standard using hand and power tools.
- Fitting of curtain sides to trailer bodies
- Use of forklift
Full training will be provided.
Who you are?
- Have excellent communication skills and have a friendly, helpful and enthusiastic personality;
- Interest in working outside
- A Team player, with a positive ‘Can Do’ approach who aligns with our company values
- Ability to perform manual handling and lifting duties
- Ability to work quickly and methodically
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Up to date CSR card is desirable but not essential
- Experience in a manufacturing company or similar would be an advantage.
- An up-to-date forklift license is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in moving trailers within a yard environment is advantageous.

Note: If successfully employed, after the probationary period you will automatically be allowed to participate in our ‘Refer a Friend Scheme’. How it works? Once you have referred a candidate and they are successfully employed, you will receive £100. You will receive a further £100 + an extra paid days holiday if they remain employed for more than 6 months.
Working hours:
- Full-Time Hours: Monday – Friday, 7am – 5pm, includes 5hrs at 1.5 times the hourly rate. 3pm finish last Friday of every month.
- Part-Time Hours available for this role and can be discussed.
- No weekend or shift work
Salary:
Starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
