The Role – Industrial Sewing Machinist
Improving Lives through the manufacture of Clever Protective Covers
- Follow order requirements from job cards and drawings
- Stitching using industrial single and double needle machines, automatics, CNC’s, binders, overlockers etc.
- Cutting, gluing and marking materials with tools
- Fabric assembly in line with order details
- Sewing a wide variety of fabrics from canvas to industrial strength PVC
- Following company guidelines to safely operate equipment
Skills and Experience
Desirable
- Manufacturing, sewing, fabric assembly or textile cutting experience
Essential
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to maintain a clean, tidy and organised environment
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and develop skills with continuous on-the-job training
Who you are?
An adaptable individual, willing to learn new skills and abilities with a good eye for detail and excellent hand-eye coordination. Previous sewing experience, fabric assembly or textile cutting is preferred but not essential as all training will be provided.

Note: If successfully employed, after the probationary period you will automatically be allowed to participate in our ‘Refer a Friend Scheme’. How it works? Once you have referred a candidate and they are successfully employed, you will receive £100. You will receive a further £100 + an extra paid days holiday if they remain employed for more than 6 months.
Working hours:
Full-Time Hours: Monday – Friday, 7am – 5pm, includes 5hrs at 1.5 times the hourly rate. 3pm finish last Friday of every month.
Part-Time hours also available.
No weekend or shift work.
Salary:
Starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
